The Institute of Certified Bankers, a subsidiary of the American Bankers Association, has reviewed the continuing education application submitted for the 2009 Conference. Attendance at the Conference will be worth:
13.00 Certified Securities Operations Professional (CSOP) credits
13.00 Certified Trust Specialist (CCTS) credits
Hundreds of members and non-members who have taken the SSA’s online courses have acknowledged the depth and value of the information provided. Our "Introduction to Shareholder Services" provides an extensive overview of shareholder services and securities processing. Our “Unclaimed Property” module provides an extensive overview of the identification, tracking and reporting needs of this legal requirement. Successful completion of these courses qualifies for credits from The American Bankers Association Institute of Certified Bankers.

The next members meeting will be the SSA 2009 Annual Conference, July 15 – 18, 2009, at The Coeur d’Alene Golf & Spa Resort, Coeur d’Alene, ID.

October 13th – The Jimmy Smith Scholarship Golf Outing
The Jimmy Smith Scholarship Golf Outing will be held at the Cherry Valley Golf Club, Long Island, New York, with proceeds going to fund the James R. Smith Scholarship Program.

October 14th – SSA Luncheon Meeting, New York, NY
The SSA, as part of its mission to provide educational opportunities, is providing this DTCC Learning’s training information for the month of July. DTCC Learning will be offering a variety of training sessions focused on Corporate Actions, as well as continuing to offer courses on PBS navigation, WINS, and an Introduction to Securities Industry. In mid-July, DTCC Learning will also make available on demand a Tax Facts Webcast that reports on various tax initiatives and shows how to correctly calculate the cash payment for foreign tax. These training opportunities may be of interest to in-house issuers and commercial transfer agents.
