The conference will begin with Registration at noon on Tuesday, July 13, in the Pre-function Lobby of the Ocean Ballroom followed by a Welcome Reception at 6:00 PM on the Grand Event Lawn. The Business Sessions begin at 8:30 AM on Wednesday, July 14, with the Keynote Speaker Steve Gilliland and continue with Industry Updates by the NYSE and the SEC. Wednesday’s business sessions will finish with a Managing Internal and External Risk session. On Thursday, the conference sessions will be dedicated to Proxy issues from all perspectives with a lively exchange of ideas and opinions by all panelists. On Friday, there will be a session on Cost Basis legislation, one of the biggest challenges currently facing our industry.
There will be plenty of time to mingle and benchmark with issuers and spend time with service providers in our industry -- you don’t want to miss it!

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS - The American Bankers Association Institute of Certified Bankers has reviewed the conference for continuing education credits. The conference is approved for 7.5 CCTS credits and 7.5 CSOP credits. ICB members may submit their credits electronically at ICB Member Services.

THE RESORT
Hammock Beach Resort is located on Florida’s East coast between Daytona Beach and St. Augustine on two miles of pristine Atlantic shoreline. With luxury accommodations, golf by Nicklaus and Watson, a rejuvenating spa, delicious dining, harborside tennis, and a multi-level water park, you’ve never experienced anything quite like Hammock Beach Resort.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Our room block at the Hammock Beach Resort expired, but there are accommodations available at the Resort on a first come first served basis at non-negotiated prices. Call the Resort at 866-453-2227 and press Option 1 to check on availability. Resort check-in time is 4:00 PM and check-out time is prior to 11:00 AM. All rooms are Non-Smoking. Smoking is permitted on the room balcony only.
As an alternative, we have located two hotels approximately 15 to 20 minutes from the resort. If you reserve a room at one of these hotels, or any other accommodations other than the Resort, please contact Karen Danielson so she may add you to the Resort access list. Since the Hammock Beach Resort is gated, you will not be allowed access unless pre-arrangements have been made.

If your plans change and you will be unable to attend the conference, please contact Karen Danielson before releasing your room at the Hammock Beach Resort so we may offer your room to other SSA guests.
Please note, for your convenience, Resort check-in for conference attendees will be located in the Pre-Function Lobby of the Ocean Ballroom adjacent to the SSA Conference Registration Desk.
RESORT FEE
A Resort Service Fee of 9.75% will be charged to each room rate. The Resort Fee includes: daily newspaper delivery, complimentary local and 1-800 calls, pool access with floats, beach chairs, towels and umbrellas, fitness center and health spa access, valet parking, high speed Internet access, plus all gratuities for bellmen, valet, concierge service, pool/beach/locker room attendance and housekeepers.
TRAVEL TO THE RESORT
The resort is located approximately 35 miles north of the Daytona International Airport (DAB), a 35 minute car ride. The Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) is located 85 miles north of the resort and approximately a one hour car ride. The third option is the Orlando International Airport (MCO) approximately 100 miles from the resort and a 1 hour, 30 minute car ride to the resort. The average cost of a taxi ride is approximately $2 per mile plus any tolls and gratuity. Some taxi companies servicing the area DO NOT accept credit cards, so please plan accordingly. Most major car rental agencies are available at the Daytona International Airport and all major car rental agencies are available at the Jacksonville and Orlando International Airport.
Palm Coast Transportation Services can assist you with car service to and from the resort from all three airports listed above. To make a reservation, please contact them by email at carmen@pctransportation.info or by telephone at 866-547-7256. Palm Coast Transportation will group arrivals and departures together, when available, reducing your individual costs. If you prefer to have a private Town Car, please specify when making your reservation. Individual costs one-way will be $75 from Daytona International, $140 from Jacksonville International and $150 from Orlando International, plus a 20% gratuity. Palm Coast Transportation accepts VISA, MasterCard and American Express.
RESORT ACTIVITIES
Float down the lazy river at the Resort’s 91,000 square foot water pavilion or dine at their oceanfront restaurants with seafood that is fresh off the boat. Or, if you prefer, relax at the spa where only the finest Pevonia Botanical products. And of course, there's always the beach.

Dining -- Situated throughout the resort, each of the restaurants and bars are designed to complement the surroundings from casual (bathing suit friendly) poolside cafe to the height of fine dining at the Seaside Grille (resort casual dress). Fitness Center – The Resort’s Fitness Center has state of the art equipment, both cardio and weight training. Spinning, aerobics, yoga and pilates classes are available. If you need assistance, there is a professional wellness counselor on staff. Guest must be age 16 or older to use the Fitness Center and proper attire required.

Golf -- The Resort is home to two championship golf courses designed by Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus. The Ocean Course allows you to tee off with the Atlantic as your backdrop, while the Conservatory Course offers beautiful but challenging terrain. The SSA golf tournament will take place on the Ocean Course. Please note that proper golf attire is required at both the Ocean and Conservatory Course.

Kids Crew -- The resort also has a children’s program available for guests ages 4-12. Kids Crew offers kids a myriad of activities from scavenger hunts and beach games to fun in the pool. For pricing and availability, please click here.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Weather
In July you can expect a temperature range of 72 in the evening to 92 during the day with an ocean breeze. Some evening events will be held outside, so please plan accordingly.

Dress Code
Resort casual attire is acceptable at all conference events. A Luau is planned for Wednesday evening and beach attire is acceptable and encouraged.
As mentioned above, proper golf attire is required at both the Ocean and Conservatory Course.
Smoking Policy
All rooms and all indoor areas with the exception of the Cigar Bar are non smoking. Smoking is allowed on your room balcony.
Valet Parking
Valet Parking is included in the resort fee.
Gratuities
Gratuities are also included in the resort fee. No tipping, please.
Other Activities
In addition to what is offered at the resort there is a host of other activities in the area that would be of interest to everyone.
Located just six miles from the resort is Marineland. Choose from a variety of interactive programs which range from an on land touch and feed experience to the ultimate adventure of swimming with these majestic animals in their habitat.
Shopping is just 30 minutes away up scenic A1A to the Primeoutlets in St. Augustine. The town of St. Augustine offers a wide variety of sightseeing tours and attractions. Many require reservations so please plan accordingly.
MISCELLANEOUS
Breakfast -- Continental breakfast on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be provided to conference participants and registered quests.
Lunch – During the conference all lunch breaks are on your own. Lunch is served in the Atlantic Grille or at the Ocean Bar & Grille.
First Timers Lunch -- First time SSA conference attendees will receive an invitation from the SSA Board to join them for lunch on Wednesday afternoon. Invitations will arrive via email and if you are a first time attendee, keep an eye out.
Dinner – On Wednesday, July 14, a luau is planned at the Lodge Event Lawn beginning at 7:00 PM. Beach attire is encouraged and recommended. Thursday, July 15, a reception and dinner dance will be held beginning at 6:00 PM in the Atlantic Ballroom. Resort or Business casual dress is suggested. The coffee bar located adjacent to the ballroom will be available beginning at 9:00 PM.
Name Badges – Attendee badges are required to be worn at all times in order to gain admission to conference functions. This includes the evening activities. All individuals, including registered attendees and their spouses, guest and conference speakers must pick up their name badge at the SSA Conference Registration desk (pre-function lobby of the Ocean Ballroom). Your registered spouse/guest is welcome to attend any of the conference functions. Like you, they must wear their name badge during the functions.
