My Role at Hawaiian Electric Industries, Inc.
I manage the shareholder services department. We are an in-house transfer agent for our common stock and the preferred stock of our utility subsidiary. Our wonderful co-agent Continental Stock Transfer & Trust Co. also assists us. We have an active Dividend Reinvestment & Stock Purchase Plan that we administer. Our office primarily deals with the retail shareholders. Of the 32,000 shareholder records we maintain, about half of them live in Hawaii.
Why I am an SSA member?
The SSA plays a key role in keeping me updated on the constantly changing regulations that affect our industry.
What I Like Best About the SSA
The annual conference provides an excellent opportunity to meet others in the industry and to hear from industry regulators.
About me
I was born and raised in Hawaii and attended the University of Hawaii where I received my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Business Administration. I started my career with HEI in 1992 as the System Administrator in the Shareholder Services department. In 1998, I became the Director of the department.
