My Role in Shareholder Services
I manage all shareholder related activities such as serving as liaison between other departments within CBS and the transfer agent; monitoring unexchanged issues; communicating with shareholders; assisting in the annual meeting process with the Corporate Secretary’s office; and assisting the Vice President of Investor Relations.
Why I Joined SSA?
I used to attend SSA meetings when I was a Vice President/Relationship Manager in the stock transfer division at The Bank of New York. I found it very helpful in keeping up with industry trends and I still do. It’s the best forum for bouncing creative ideas off of the various vendors.
What I like best about the SSA
It’s good to know that I can ask a question on the web site and get a number of different responses from individuals in the business. I also like to be able to see the vendors and other issuers at the luncheons to “pick their brains.”
More about me:
I was with The Bank of New York on the stock transfer side for six years. Prior to that, I was in Shareholder Relations for Rayonier, Inc. and Rayonier Timberlands, L.P. for 10 years. Now I am back to shareholder relations for CBS. Therefore, I have worked “both sides of the desk.” I started taking golf lessons and playing this past year. I’m just sorry I didn’t do it sooner!
