Board Committees
The Board has two committees:
1. Executive Committee. This board committee, chaired by the SSA President, is comprised of all Association officers will recommend changes to SSA Bylaws or other governance documents and may act on behalf of the Board in all matters not expressly prohibited by law or the SSA Bylaws.
2. Finance Committee. This board committee, chaired by Patrick Burke, provides independent oversight of the accounting and financial practices of the Association, advises the Board of needed changes in these practices and provides oversight regarding accumulation and expenditure of Association funds.
In addition, the Association has several committees (e.g., Association Committees) on which members may serve. Any SSA member who would like to serve on a committee should contact the respective committee chair. We value your ideas and participation.

| Member Recruitment and Retention | Joan DiBlasi | Develop and implement a program to attract and retain members. Maintain membership database and coordinate annual membership renewal. |
| Annual Conference | Maritza Vicole | Plan the Annual Conference, the SSA's signature networking and education event. |
| Education | Karen Danielson | Develop web-based e-Learning and "hot sheets" on topics of interest to shareholder services professionals. |
| Nominating | Joan DiBlasi | Identify and propose qualified director candidates. Conduct the annual election of directors.

| Legal and Regulatory | Katie Sevcik | Identifies, studies, and evaluates key legal, regulatory, and quality assurance issues related to the Shareholder Services industry. It also provides policy guidance as appropriate. |
| Awards and Fundraising | Ellen Philip | Coordinate matters relating to the Tony Fireman Award and the James Smith Scholarship Program. |
