Peter Descovich

Mr. Peter W. Descovich, Broadridge Financial Solutions, received the Tony Fireman award in 2008.  His tenure in the industry dates back to the early 60's, with most of his time served at two major financial industry firms.  At Broadridge and ADP - Investor Communication Services, Peter advised issuers, solicitors and transfer agents on a broad range of proxy and investor communication issues.  Prior to joining ADP-ICS, he spent twenty-five years with IBM's Shareholder Relations Department in various managerial positions.  He has been a member of the SSA for over 35 years, is a former President of the SSA and has been an active member in regional Security Transfer Associations and other industry groups.

Peter provided outstanding service to the securities industry as a whole, as well as leadership on various industry initiatives. Peter never hesitated to provide expert counsel and guidance to many of us in the shareholder services industry. He has been a mentor, teacher and agent of change, always taking the time to share his knowledge. Peter embodies the strong dedication to service, willingness to provide assistance and the personal character and integrity demonstrated by Tony Fireman.
