SSA Committees

Generally, each committee consists of at least two members, one of which will be an SSA Director acting as the chairperson. Following is a list of the current committees with a brief description of their purpose. Any SSA member who would like to serve on a committee should contact the respective committee chairperson.

Finance Committee - Anthony Battista
Provide independent oversight of the accounting and financial practices of the Association, advises the board of needed changes in these practices and provide general oversight regarding the accumulation and expenditure of Association funds.

Communications Committee - Keith Ecke
Gather and distribute industry information (general, regulatory updates, news conferences, etc.) association news, and annual conference and general meeting information. Responsible for the maintenance and content of the web site.

Conference Committee - Joseph Trezza
Plan and produce the Annual Conference. Recommend conference sites, determine the theme and arrange for speakers, facilities, meal services, activities, sponsorships and conference materials. Please feel free to contact our Conference chairperson with suggestions for speakers, topics or events.

Education Committee - Karen Danielson
Propose and enact a board approved education program for members and interested shareholder services professionals.

Executive Committee The Executive Committee is comprised of the Officers of the Association. The Executive Committee shall act in place of the Board between regularly scheduled Board meetings.

Legal & Legislative Committee - Katie J. Sevcik
Review the objectives, policies, plans, issues and progress of regulatory agencies and activities, as well as other governmental and public activities, as they affect the Association and its constituencies. If you hear about something on the regulatory front, let our Legal & Legislative Committee know.

Membership Committee - Jane Keister
Responsible for proposing and enacting, with the advice and consent of the board, a plan to solicit and attract members to the Association. Assure that appropriate materials are sent to prospective members and that new members are sent welcome information. Please help the Membership Committee chairperson identify potential members.

Nominating Committee - Karl Wagner
Responsible for proposing to the board qualified candidates for election as directors and officers of the Association. If you are interested in serving or know of someone who is dedicated to the shareholder services industry that might make a good director, please contact the Nominating Committee chairperson.

Program Committee - Joni Aeschbach, Joan DiBlasi and Karen Danielson
Identify topics of interest to Association members, secure speakers and arrange for facilities for luncheon and special SSA meetings. Please contact any of our Program Committee members with suggestions for speakers or topics.
