Larry Morillo

Mr. Lawrence A. (Larry) Morillo, managing director of Pershing, LLC, received the initial Tony Fireman Award in 2007 for his outstanding contributions and long-standing commitment to the securities industry, including work on dematerialization and DRS.

Mr. Morillo held a variety of management positions at Pershing, including account transfer, clearance - domestic, government and international, corporate actions, custody, new accounts, purchase and sales, tax reporting, and balance and control.  He was responsible for many productivity improvement initiatives.  Prior to joining Pershing, Mr. Morillo was an accounting manager at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.

Throughout his career, Larry has been actively involved in industry organizations and chaired many industry committees.  In 2003, he received the SIA Distinguished Leadership Award for his ongoing efforts to support STP initiatives. He is a dematerialization leader and single-handedly took the lead to petition and lobby state legislature bodies to change rules to allow book entry equity holdings.

Mr. Morillo is a licensed Financial & Operations Principal, General Securities Principal, General Securities Registered Representative, and Uniform Securities State Agent with the National Association of Securities Dealers.
