Verizon Shareowner Services
What's my role at Verizon
I have been in Verizon’s shareowner services group for the past seven years. Our shareholders have many questions relating to our stock, our dividend payments, our dividend reinvestment and stock purchase plan, and our proxy statement and annual meeting. These questions generally come first to our shareowner services group for a response. With almost 700,000 registered shareowners and an even larger street population, we receive many questions on a regular basis. If I don't know the answer, I try and find the answer for our shareholders. I am also the main contact for all service providers who perform stockowner related work for Verizon.
Why I'm a member of the SSA?
With many years of experience in this business there are still new questions that I have never heard. SSA membership provides me with many connections to industry experts who are always willing to help. Membership also puts me in contact with many industry peers at other public companies.
What I enjoy most about being an SSA member?
Friendship! There currently are over 200 active members who I would definitely consider to be my friends! Because of that friendship, I am as willing to share my knowledge as they are willing to share their knowledge. Whether through email, telephone or in-person contact at regular association meetings, these connections are what make the SSA a great group and I enjoy being a member of it.
Prior to joining Verizon in 2005, I worked at First Chicago/Equiserve/Computershare for 12 years as a Customer Service Manager and Corporate Actions Relationship Manager. Prior to joining the stock transfer industry, I worked for six years in retail management for Alexanders and Abraham & Straus. I graduated from the University of Bridgeport with a Bachelors of Science in Management.
