After significant discussion and consideration of current conditions, the SSA Board of Directors has rescheduled the 2020 SSA Annual Conference. This decision was made, first and foremost, for the health and safety of SSA members.
As conditions surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak have evolved in recent weeks, the board thoroughly examined the changing travel, business and conference environment. Unfortunately, it has become increasingly clear that holding the conference in the midst of these conditions is not in the best interest of the shareholder services community.
“SSA has a long tradition of excellent annual conferences,” said SSA President Kim Hanlon, on behalf of the board. “We respect this history but also recognize that many members’ inability to participate this year would hinder the event. We are grateful to the volunteers who have been working to develop this year’s conference and look forward to the 2021 conference in Memphis.”
