About the SSA Board Committees
The Board has two committees, the Executive Committee and the Finance Committee. In addition, the Association has several committees (e.g., Association Committees) on which members may serve. Any SSA member who would like to serve on a committee should contact the respective committee chair.  We value your ideas and participation.
Association Committees

Annual Conference Committee

Plan the Annual Conference, the SSA's signature event.

Awards/Fundraising Committee

Oversees the Tony Fireman Award and the James Smith Scholarship Program.

Career Development

Develop web-based e-Learning and "hot sheets."

Events Committee

Plan Association educational luncheons and webinars.

Governance Committee

Provides oversight for the Board of Directors.

Legal/Regulatory Committee

Identifies, studies, and evaluates key legal,regulatory and quality assurance issues.

Marketing & Member Outreach Committee

Manage the creation and implementation of a Marketing Plan.

Marketing- Communications Sub-Committee

Manages all communications distributed to members, service providers, sponsors and the general public.

Nominating Committee

Identify and propose qualified director candidates. Conduct the annual election of directors.

Shareholder Services Professional Certification Committee

Develops and implements the Shareholder Services Professional Certification program.

Technology Committee

Manage website development and maintenance.

Finance Committee

Provides oversight for financial matters of the SSA.
